This trip healed my heart, and left me with a sense of peace and calm.
About a month ago, I realized that I can only control what I can control. I have to let the rest just BE.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's very freeing. Once you realize that, you become much happier with your life, and your current (and future) place in it.
I'm choosing to be present in my life.
Yes, originally this trip to San Francisco was a trip with Jeff for "our" birthdays. But now I reflect on it, as a trip of new beginnings for one of my best girlfriends and I.
What a whirlwhind trip! Erin and I met up in San Francisco for 4 days of fast, furious, fun! We spent half the time doing nerdy, touristy things and the other half doing relaxing, and some once-in-a-lifetime things.
I can't believe it's over.
And I can't wait to do it again. (If that's possible?! I'm sure it's not...)
So here's what we conquered:

In addition to that, we managed to also:
- Have a "free drinks all night long" evening
- Be part of an "almost-brawl" between the French and UK men
- Relax during our 2 and a 1/2 hour thai massages
- Have an amazing dinner and show at AsiaSF - where we thought the performers were female? We were wrong?!
- Hear the song "Some Nights" on repeat waaaaayyyyy too many times?!
Whew, that's alot in 4 days - no wonder we slept on the plane ride back home!
I'm so thankful and blessed to have an amazing friend who would drop her life and come spend some quality time in California with me! I think we successfully stomped our past away and are looking forward to some awesome, new beginnings.
